CHO Seong-ha 1966-ban született, a Seoul Institute of Arts-on diplomázott színház szakon. A színpadon töltött évek után, 1996-tól a filmezésben is aktív lett. Ismerős mind a képernyőről, mind a mozivászonról. Sokféle szerepben ismerhettük meg, gyakorta apaként vagy rendőrtisztként. Néhány emlékezetes filmje: Son Il-gon Spider Forest (2004), Running Wild (2005), Cinderella (2006).
Kiemelkedő alakítást nyújtott 2010-ben a The Recipe és a The Yellow Sea című filmekben, és tapsorkán fogadta a következő szerepében, a 2011-es Bleak Night független filmben. Nagyon sűrű éve volt 2012-ben, négy filmet is forgatott, köztük a Helpless című népszerű thrillert és a nagy költségvetésű R2B: Return to Base-t. Legközelebb 2013-ban a Classmate és a Suspect című thrillerekben láthatjuk.
